KitchenAble Cooking School and Catering 1635 Monroe St., TallahasseeLearn the basics of making pastry and how to make a lattice crust. Jessica Bright McMullen of KitchenAble will prepare three courses of pie starting with an appetizer of Tomato Pie (which she makes in tart form), followed by individual Chicken Pot Pies (with a fresh salad on the side), then complete the meal with a Fresh Fruit Slab Pie (with a lattice crust and ice cream-of course).

Lofty Pursuits 1355 Market St. in Verandas at Market St., TallahasseeTo celebrate National Ice Cream Day, Lofty Pursuits is hosting its 10th annual Tallahassee Open Ice Cream Eating Contest starting at 3 p.m. Sunday. The ice cream parlor/restaurant skipped the event last year due to the pandemic. The idea is to see who can eat the most ice cream.
